The starter kit is designed to conveniently build out-ofthe- box test environments. The test environment can be supplied by regular 90 … 253 V AC power. The basic Segment Coupler transparently connects field devices to the PROFIBUS DP master. PROFIBUS PA devices are configured as ordinary PROFIBUS DP slaves. The basic Segment Coupler requires zero configuration and provides a current load of up to 400 mA. A Segment Protector enables connection of up to 6 field devices to the host with individual short circuit current limitation. The system can be expanded at any time with additional components from the FieldConnex® system. Note: The PROFIBUS DP master, field devices, cables and wiring are not included. The starter kit is limited to 1 per customer and location.
